Letters of Appreciation |

Dear Cheryl,
You really got my sister and I to thinking. I know I mentioned it to you, but my Mom seems really happy now. She has made friends, really enjoys meal time, the fact that she does not have to clean or do her sheets (she still does her own laundry, just because she wants to) she is playing bingo, doing lots of reading, she has talked about other activities - the price is right and singing with a Church choir that stopped by one day. She is seeing my sister so much more and has commented on that several times. She has gotten to go to my niece's dance recital and an awards program at her school (something she would have missed before). I have taken over all the bills and the job of dealing with changing all mailing addresses. We all seem to be really working together. I do think this summer will be long --we will have to sell their house, but overall it all seems to be working out. I believe something like this would have helped them both sooner. But you never know and we can't look back now. Thank you again for your advice and agreeing to meet with us at such a desperate time. All that matters to my sister and me now is that she is happy and taken care of and safe.

Dear Lezli,
Kerry and I will be forever grateful for your help in guiding our
family recently. When Kerry's dad (Floy) went from hospital to rehab
to memory care and finally to a wonderful assisted living facility in
a matter of weeks, it was a time of serious emotional stress for all
of us. You were truly our angel in the midst of all of it. When we
contacted you, we knew that you had the expertise to help us
rationally determine the best options for caring for Floy. That
expertise and your professional evaluation of the whole situation was
very valuable, and gave us a blueprint in the midst of a chaotic and
exhausting situation. But what meant even more to us was your help in
guiding the difficult conversations that we had been unable to have
with Floy. Your compassionate way of sharing and reinforcing the
truth with all of us was a gift we will never forget. I am still
amazed, and don't know where we would be today without you. We speak
of you often, and just this morning were discussing implementing
another of your recommendations now that we are out of crisis mode.
It is so very comforting to know that we can call upon you going
forward. These words are not enough to express the appreciation that is in our hearts!
With sincerest thanks and blessings,
Carol & Kerry Ezell

Dear Cheryl,
Thank you SO much for sending someone to help us during our ' health crisis' with Don's mom! Michelle is a great care manager and really put our minds at ease regarding the future plan. We now have a plan! Michelle was very professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable about what would work best for our needs.
We learned so much through this journey with an aging parent. From Michelle and your company we have realistic goals and a plan to achieve them. Opal is stabilized, safe and most importantly...happy and empowered.
The service you offer is truly amazing. "Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!"

Hi Suzanne,
"
This can be a stressful, emotional time for us, and our parents. I started my journey in November 08, and totally on "unfamiliar grounds."
Although we all have different situations with our senior parents, I have to share this phenomenal person whom was referred to me. Lezli Ragland is a "Geriatric Care Manager" and she is "awesome!" She is extremely knowledgeable, educated, makes in home assessments, Senior Financial Advisor resources, she can speak on such a higher level with doctors, facilities, administration, and also not only work with the caregiver but support and counsel our parents. She has taught me so much, and a huge blessing of help and support. Here is here information below and you can click on the link to "Compass Eldercare.com." It's nice to see all the profiles of each Geriatric Care Managers. Lezli Ragland is local here in Carrollton/Farmers Branch. The company is out of Flower Mound. I hope anyone out there whom is approaching this time in their lives, whom needs help, support, and/or guidance will know all those resources are there. Here is Lezli's information:

Dear Cheryl,
I just wanted to let you know that we finally got Jack and RuthAnne back to Alaska!
They are so happy to be home and Jack is doing remarkably well.
We can't thank you enough for everything you did for Jack.
We believe if it wasn't for you, Jack would never have been moved the the appropriate facility
and would never have recovered like he did and been able to return home.
Hopefully we'll not need your services again, but be assured if Jack and RuthAnne return to Texas, you will be the first person we call.
How I wish we had you up here in Alaska.
Take care and thank you for all you did.

You are very fortunate to have on your staff one of the finest social workers I have every had the privilege of working with. Since 1998, I have been able to observe her growth and development from a new graduate to a very experienced social worker. She sets the bar high with her standards, and work ethics . Her compassion and understanding of the older individual is unequaled. Her love for animals and her volunteer work with SPCA, and local shelters provides her with the knowledge regarding resources for the pets loved by her senior clients. She is able to help the grieving client after the loss of their loved furry family member.
Compass Elder Care Solutions has a rare jewel in Lezli Ragland.

"My sister was a retired schoolteacher for the Dallas Independent School District and had planned well for her retirement. Unfortunately, her physical health declined and it became necessary for her to have assistance in her daily routine. A licensed caregiver company was employed to provide this care.
Upon a routine visit by a supervisor of the company an order list was discovered for one of the caregivers. It was a very expensive list and the supervisor became suspicious. Michelle Osentowski, a social worker who had recently done work for the company, was called in to investigate as a disinterested third party.
Michelle discovered my sister had been financially wiped out and had a credit card debt of over $50,000.00, checks had been forged and a house had been bought with my sister's name on the deed.
I live over five hundred miles from Dallas and was unable to travel to Dallas to look into my sister's affairs. Michelle became my sister's advocate and actively pursued avenues of restitution. She worked tirelessly with the police and District Attorney's office trying to bring charges against the caregiver. They investigated but brought no charges because my sister was unable to testify effectively against the caregiver.
Michelle was instrumental in moving my sister to a wonderful Nursing Home and continued to visit and attend to her needs until her death. She knew what needed to be done, handled all paper work, applied for available benefits and virtually became an extension of our family in the caring of my sister.
Words fail to define the dedication of Michele to my sister and I am certain to all of her clients. I am confident no one could do a better job.

To Whom it may concern,
Approximately 2 months ago I had the pleasure of working with Care Managers.com concerning a very tense situation with an elderly aunt living in Dallas, Texas. I live in close to Tampa, Florida so I had a very limited time span to travel to Dallas to check on my aunt and return to my home.
What I found in Dallas was appalling as regards treatment of my aunt - both physical and emotionally by a caregiver in the area. Had it not been for the timely and much needed intervention of "Care Managers", this situation, if allowed to continue, would have had very tragic consequences. "Care Managers" did a marvelous job of coordinating all aspects of my aunt's needs and her best interests to give her a safe and secure environment. This was done with the utmost courtesy and efficiency. Their follow up report was excellent and given in a businesslike manner.
My "hat" is off to this fine organization and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone at anytime. There is so much elder abuse in our society, it is comforting to know that places such as"Care Managers" exist to help all families in need for this type of service.
Very truly yours,
Beverly S.

Dear Michele,
I wanted to thank you for your assistance in helping me find a new home for my mother.
Your expertise and knowledge were extremely helpful in finding a reasonable, affordable and beautiful retirement home for her. I appreciate the time you spent in researching the viable options for her. Your dedication and thoughtfulness really helped me through this difficult and emotional process.
I will continue to recommend your services to my family and friends. I certainly could not have made it through this relocation of my mother without you and your services.
Sincerely,
Sara G.
